AURORA, ILL.. -- In their season finale, the Concordia University Chicago Cougars took the field to take on the Aurora Spartans, ultimately falling.
INSIDE THE BOX
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougar defense couldn't withstand the Spartan offense as the Spartans jumped to a 13-0 lead in the first period.
- Relying solely on the defensive strength, the Cougars locked in and held the Spartans to seven goals in the second period while seeing a handful of offensive opportunities.Â
- Working hard on the defensive side, three consecutive shots from the Cougars halfway through the third period would be the first opportunity for the offense to get to work.Â
- Shortly after the string of offensive burst for the Cougars, Tabor was able to sneak one into the back of the net off a dish through traffic from Cicero.
- Unable to convert for the remainder of the game, the Cougars ultimately fell to the Spartans.Â
This loss closes the season for the Cougars as they finish 0-15 on the year while closing in conference play 0-8.
