Box Score The Concordia University Chicago Cougars men's basketball team took on the Lake Forest Foresters in a postseason matchup resulting in a Cougar win of 78-55. Earlier in the season, CUC took on LFC where they found themselves with their largest win lead of the year, until tonight's win of 23 points.
The Cougars started the night strong, forcing the Foresters to back to back turnovers while CUC remained fierce on the offensive end. Going on a few offensive runs, the Cougars found themselves going into the half with a lead of 40-28.
As the game progressed, big numbers were put up from sophomore guard Brent Hatten (Olney, Ill.) who found himself a double double to end the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds. In addition to Hatten juniors Izak Ruddell (Saint Joseph, Mich.) and Jordan Matthews (Chicago, Ill.) added 14 and 13 points respectively.
The Cougars led the game in blocks, steals, and assists while shooting 50% from behind the arch, making tonight's matchup a game for the books. Tonight's contest marks the end of the 2020-2021 season for the men's basketball team as they look to make their mark on the conference next season.
