River Forest, Ill- Concordia University Chicago traveled to Aurora University to play in their last regular season game of the season. After trailing by nine with just under four minutes to go in the fourth quarter, the Cougars were able to turn it on and close out the season on a high note, downing Aurora 71-68.
Turning Point: Freshman
Tara Hastings took over the game with 3:21 left, she would go on to score 13 points straight and help CUC complete an epic comeback.
Inside the Box Score:
- Concordia-Chicago hit 11 threes on the night opposed to the Spartans' two.
- Aurora netted 20 more free throws on the night.
- CUC only held the lead for 25% of the game.
- Hastings led the way with 24 points and three steals.
- Madelyn McGrath came off the bench and scored 13 points.
- Charisma Robinson had another all-around game. She recorded 13 points, six rebounds, and three steals.

- Robinson opened up the scoring in the final game of the season with a layup through traffic.
- From there the score would be tied at 10-10 until the Spartans went on an 11-3 run to close out the first quarter and lead 21-13.
- McGrath opened up the second quarter with a three, coming off of a Michaela Thornton assist.
- CUC would come back to take the lead after a Robinson free throw made it 24-23.
- Their lead would grow to as much as seven before the halftime break (34-27), but AU closed the deficit to three right near the end (34-31).
- Aurora took the momentum and did not look back in the third quarter.
- An 11-point lead would bring the Spartans with a hefty lead moving into the fourth quarter.
- With 5:31 left, CUC started their comeback.
- A 9-0 run tied the game back up at 63-63, thanks to three Hastings three pointers in a row.
- Hastings would sink two more layups and give the Cougars a 67-63 lead.
- After a big-time three by the Spartans, McGrath hit a big shot of her own right at the free throw line to make it 69-66.
- CUC would hold on and win 71-68.
