RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Coming off their biggest victory of the season, the Concordia-Chicago Cougars will host Benedictine University tomorrow night looking for their third straight home win.

Less Was More... Despite scoring their least amount of points this season (61) against IIT, the Cougars out lasted the Scarlet Hawks to come away with the upset-conference win. Averaging 86.1 points per game, CUC shot 21-of-52 to pull off the home victory.
Scouting the Eagles... Sitting in fifth place in the NACC, the Benu Eagles are 8-7 overall with a 5-5 conference record. Benedictine will head to CUC after a 63-75 loss to Edgewood College. Averaging 72.4 points per game, the Eagles' are led by Eric Grygo, who averages 15.5 points per game as well as 10.5 rebounds per game.
At a Glance... Last time out against Benedictine the Cougars fell 65-85, their largest conference loss of the season. CUC will look to beat the Eagles for the first time since January of 2015, when the Cougars won 87-81. With a win, Concordia-Chicago will have won back-to-back contests for the first time since December of 2015 when CUC beat Edgewood and Wisconsin Lutheran.
Gentle Giant... Through 14 collegiate basketball games, Chicago native and freshman Landen Gladney has made his presence known across the NCAA. With the start to his college career, he has recorded double-digit rebounds in 13 games and has 12 double-doubles on the season. Gladney is ranked third in the nation for total double-doubles and sixth for rebounds per game (12.9). He is also eighth in the country with 181 total boards.
Pelissier's Point... Reigning NACC Athlete of the Week and senior guard Mitch Pelissier has left his mark on the CUC basketball program, as he currently ranks fifth on the all-time scoring list with 1,593 career points. Averaging 22.4 points per game, he is currently first in the NACC and ranks 23rd nationally among Division III basketball.
