RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- The Concordia-Chicago will close out its five-game homestand welcoming the Lakeland Muskies to Geiseman Gymnasium tomorrow night.

Series Stackup... Last season the Cougars dropped a pair of games to the Muskies, and most recently defeated Lakeland in December of 2016. Then sophomore Mitch Pelissier scored the team-high 17 points in the 81-70 victory.
Meeks Matters... After missing the first two games of the season, sophomore Jalen Meeks has been electric in his respective start to the year. With three games now under his belt, he ranks third on the team in total points with 67, 56 of which came from last week alone. Meeks led the Cougars to an impressive 1-1 week, scoring a career-high 33 points and notching two double-doubles down the stretch. His performances earned him NACC Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Around the Horn... In the NACC, the Cougars are first among scoring offenses, averaging 89.4 points per game. CUC's points per game average is also good for 28th, out of 416 teams, across Division III basketball. CUC also stands 18th in the nation, averaging 32.2 defensive rebounds per game. Individually,
Jalen Meeks ranks first in the conference for a 22.3 points per game average.
Aren't You Glad?... First year athlete and Chicago native Landen Gladney has had a big start for the Cougars through the first five games of his collegiate career. In all five games, Gladney has notched a double-double, which ranks the freshman second in the nation for total double-doubles. He is also ranked eighth for defensive rebounds per game (9.00), 10th for rebounds per game (12.2), and 74th for total rebounds (61).
