CUC Ready in Seattle

SEATTLE -- After being held to a season low in scoring against Benedictine on Saturday, the Concordia-Chicago Cougars return to the floor for a two-game stint this week, beginning on Monday night against the University of Puget Sound Loggers. CUC will look to snap a four-game losing streak and grab their first win for the month of December.

Tip off is slated to begin at 6 p.m. (PST) in Tacoma. To keep up with all of the action, check out cucougars.com/coverage. Complete game notes are available here.

About the Loggers... The Loggers are 3-5 on the year, with two of their three wins coming on their home court. A well-rounded squad, Puget Sound has different leaders in nearly every offensive category. Senior Logger Jimmy Wohrer will be a key threat to the Cougars, as he is shooting 50.7 percent from beyond the arc and averaging 22.0 points per game.

Pelissier's Pike... Senior Cougar Mitch Pelissier has the opportunity to play in front of a home crowd of his own this week, as a native of Puyallup, Wash. Pelissier is the third leading scorer in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, averaging 19.6 points per game and runs the Cougar offense, with 35 total assists on the year. Nationally, Pelissier ranks 73rd in points per game and 84th in the country with 4.6 assists per game. In his tenure, the senior has 1,436 career points which is good for sixth all-time in Concordia-Chicago history.

Big from Beyond... Sawyer Concklin and Evan Snyder have served as role players for the Cougars this season, coming off the bench to provide an offensive spark from beyond the arc. On the year, Concklin is 10-of-26 from downtown. Appearing more steadily in the lineup for CUC this last week, Snyder has shot .500 from the three point line.
