RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Hoping to keep its win streak rolling, the Concordia-Chicago men's basketball team welcomes NACC rival Concordia Wisconsin to Geiseman Gymnasium tomorrow night for a 7 p.m. tip off.
The Cougars will look to defeat the Falcons for the first time since January of 2014, when CUC came out on top in a 98-93 overtime battle.
Setting the Scene... Concordia-Chicago welcomes NACC rival Concordia Wisconsin to Geiseman Gymnasium this Tuesday. The Cougars will look to stay hot after snapping a 10-game losing streak, with last Thursday's 86-79 win over Rockford University.
Schwarz's Hot Start... Justin Schwarz is off to an electric start in his sophomore campaign. With a 23-point opening night performance, he followed up with a game-high 20 points in CUC's win over Rockford. Taking smart shots, he is averaging 54.8 percent from the floor and is 5-7 from the charity stripe.
Aren't You Glad?... Freshman Landen Gladney has stepped into an immediate impact role for the Cougars in his early tenure at CUC. In his first two games in maroon and gold, the Chicago native has tallied two double-doubles, combining for 28 rebounds and 34 points. Gladney's double-double against Kalamazoo was the first for a Cougar on opening night since Kris Claybon did so in 2015.
Big Off the Bench... Newcomer Cade Mousel has shaped into a role player for the Cougars, coming off the bench as a three-point threat. In his first two career games, he is fourth on the team in points (21), all of which have come from beyond the arc.
