Randy Rogers, the Concordia-Chicago men's basketball team will open up its 2018-19 season tonight at Kalamazoo College.
Tip off is slated for a 7:30 p.m. (EST) start time as the Cougars and Hornets will battle head-to-head for the second consecutive season.

Setting the Scene: Concordia-Chicago heads to Kalamazoo for the start of the 2018-19 season. In the last four seasons, CUC is 1-3 in season openers and most recently won the opening tip in 2014 when the Cougars defeated Knox College, 90-76. In their last four season openers, the Cougars average an 11.75 point differential between their opponents.
Scouting the Hornets: Kalamazoo wrapped up its 2017-18 campaign with an 8-17 overall record, and was predicted to finish in sixth among the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association this season. Like CUC, Kalamazoo also competed against a Division I program, taking on neighboring Western Michigan in a preseason exhibition match up.
Series Stackup: Since 2010, the Cougars and Hornets have gone head-to-head just once, in a 98-71 Hornet victory last December. Mitch Pelissier had the game-high 21 points in the loss.
