River Forest, Ill.- The Cougars come into the new year looking to snap their seven game losing streak against Division Street rival Dominican University.
Mitch Pelissier is the undoubted leader for the Cougars leading the team in points, rebounds, and steals. However,
Jonathan Wilson has emerged as the second option for CUC averaging over 11 points a game and shooting over 50% from the field. Concordia-Chicago hopes to improve on defense as the Stars come in only averaging 69 points a game, which is the lowest in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
Last season, the Cougars and Stars split each winning on their respective home courts each earning five points towards the River Forest Rivalry Cup, which CUC brought home the first ever Rivalry Cup last year. In 2017-2018, CUC currently holds a five point lead over Dominican with the Cougar women's basketball team 80-69 victory over the Stars last evening.
