River Forest, Ill.- It's no secret that the Cougars and Stars are rivals. The Division Street rivalry proved that once already this season with an intense, chippy, and hard fought game at Dominican. In early January, the Stars had a lead as much as 17 last time out, but much like a rivalry game, the Cougars did not quit. CUC came storming back to cut the lead within three with under five minutes to go, but Dominican were able to edge out the Cougars late winning by the final score of 89-82.
Mitch Pelissier led the Cougars in their game against the Stars with 23 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. However, it fell a little short as Dominican shot 48 percent from the floor in the game and shot an astounding 89 percent from the free throw line, which proved to be essential in their win.
