Christian Sorensen (Berwyn, Ill.) of the men’s cross country team is honored for the week of Oct. 3-9.
           
Sorensen led the men’s cross country team to its second consecutive fifth-place finish with a determined run at the UW/Parkside Lucien Rosa Invitational Oct. 8. Sorensen finished in 32nd place overall (22^nd for team scoring) out of 94 runners with a time of 29:08.04. His effort came on a day where temperatures were unseasonably warm and the hilly course presented extra challenges.

Sorensen, the son of Robert and Maritza Sorensen, is a 2010 graduate of Walther Lutheran High School in Melrose Park, Ill. He is a sophomore English major.
