Rashad Lofton (Detroit, MI) of the football team is honored for the week of Sept. 21-27.

Lofton scored three touchdowns to lead the Cougars to a 42-21 win over Maranatha Baptist University on Sept. 26. His first touchdown came on a school record-setting 88-yard punt return in the first quarter. Lofton later added touchdown receptions of 11 and 38 yards and totaled 135 yards on seven receptions for the day.

Lofton, the son of Fred and Kesha Lofton, is a 2013 graduate of Romulus High School in Romulus, MI. He is a junior nursing major.
