Alicia Salata (Bartlett, IL) of the softball team is honored for the week of April 13-19.
Salata hit .435 with eight runs scored and 10 RBIs as part of the Cougars’ 6-2 week. Her week included homeruns in both games of the April 19 doubleheader against Concordia University Wisconsin, one of them a grand slam. Salata also contributed in the pitching circle, going 3-0 in five appearances with a 1.24 earned run average. The righthander hurled a five-hit shutout in her April 18 start against the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Salata, the daughter of Alan and Marlene Salata, is a 2012 graduate of Bartlett High School in Bartlett, IL. She is a junior exercise science major.
