Abby Pierce (Clinton Township, MI) of the track and field team is honored for the week of April 20-26.

Pierce established the current high mark in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference for the women’s discus at the Benedictine University Twilight Invitational on April 24. Her throw of 129’ 10” topped the current NACC standard by seven inches. Pierce’s effort scored points for the CUC women in the meet and established her personal best in her third season of competition.

Pierce, the daughter of David and Diane Pierce, is a 2012 graduate of Lutheran High School Northwest Rochester Hills, MI. She is a junior exercise science major.
