Morgan Jahnke (Fox Lake, IL) of the women’s basketball team is honored for the week of Feb. 16-22.
Jahnke led the Cougar women to their first conference tournament win since 2008 as she scored 22 points and pulled down seven rebounds in a 65-58 win over Concordia University Wisconsin on Feb. 21. The 5’7” guard shot 5-8 from the field, making her only three-point attempt, and 11-14 from the free throw line. Jahnke triggered an 11-1 run at the beginning of the second half, scoring five points as the Cougars quickly erased a 10-point halftime deficit.
Jahnke, the daughter of Matt and Reem Jahnke, is a 2012 graduate of Grant Community High School in Fox Lake, IL. She is a junior secondary education major with a specialization in physical education.
