Chelsee Wilson (Shawneetown, IL) of the women’s track and field team is honored for the week of Feb. 2-8.

In just her second collegiate competition, Wilson broke the CUC women’s indoor record in the 200-meter dash. Her time of 27.07 seconds beat the previous record of 27.32 set in 2013 and also placed her sixth in a field of 55 runners at the University of Chicago’s Windy City Rumble on Feb. 7. Wilson also ran in the 60-meter dash and finished tenth out of 43 runners with a time of 8.34 seconds.

Wilson, the daughter of Iles and Kristen Fort, is a 2014 graduate of Grayslake North High School in Grayslake, IL. She is a freshman communications major.
