Jaela DeJean (Houston, TX) of the women’s basketball team is honored for the week of Nov. 24-30.

DeJean erupted for 22 points in the Cougars’ Nov. 25 win over Concordia University Wisconsin and a season-high 32 points in the Nov. 29 win over Lakeland College. She also added four assists and four steals in the win over Lakeland. DeJean shot a combined 21-33 (64 percent) from the field with three three-pointers and 9-12 from the foul line and is averaging 19.0 points through the Cougars’ first four games.

DeJean, the daughter of William and Jacie McKnight, is a 2014 graduate of Houston Christian High School in Houston, TX. She is a freshman exercise science major.
