Welch joins the CUC Athletic Communications Department in September of 2024.
Welch comes to CUC after a three year stint at Macalester College as the Assistant Sports Information Director. While at the fellow Division III institution, Welch created schedules and graphics for the department while also writing press releases, maintaining the athletic website, supervising student workers, and managing game day operations. Welch also worked closely with the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to promote Diversity and Inclusion and Division III Week. Prior to her time at Macalester, Welch worked in the Athletic Communications Department at Loras College while pursing her undergraduate degree. During her two years as a student worker, Welch learned all areas of the department including broadcast production, graphic design, and website maintenance.Â
Welch, originally from Oswego, Illinois, graduated with her undergraduate degree in Sports Management and Marketing from Loras College in 2020 and with her Masters in Business Administration from Western Illinois in 2022.
